Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wilde & Free LLC ("we," "us," or "the Company") collects, uses, and shares your Personal Information when you visit or subscribe to The Wilde Kingdom at thewildekingdom.com (the "Site"). We believe in full transparency—and we're allergic to shady data shenanigans.

If you've got questions, concerns, or just want to complain because Mercury's in retrograde (when is it NOT, amiright??), shoot us an email at admin@wildeandfreellc.com. We're a small, feral team—but we read every message.

What We Collect (and Why)

We only collect what we need to manage your membership, deliver content, and make sure your experience on our site doesn't suck. Here's the breakdown:

DEVICE INFORMATION

What we collect: Browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie data, what content you view, and how you navigate the site (because we're nosy, but only in a business-justified way).

Why we collect it: To make the site load correctly, track what pages are working, and figure out which content is making you drool.

How we collect it: Automatically, when you visit. We use cookies, log files, and other nerdy tech.

Who sees it: Ghost (our membership platform) and Google Analytics (for understanding site performance).

MEMBERSHIP & PAYMENT INFORMATION

What we collect: Your name, email address, billing address, and payment info (processed securely through Stripe).

Why we collect it: To set up your membership, process your subscription payments, send you content updates, and give you access to member-only areas.

How we collect it: Directly from you when you sign up or update your account.

Who sees it: Ghost (our platform), Stripe (payment processing—they handle your card info securely, we never see your full card number), and MailerLite (our email service provider).

PAYMENT PROCESSING

We use Stripe to securely process subscription payments. When you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment information (credit card number, billing address, CVV) directly. We never see or store your full credit card details—only a tokenized reference that lets us manage your subscription.

Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your payment data according to strict security standards. Read Stripe's privacy policy here: https://stripe.com/privacy

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

We use two systems for email:

Ghost: Sends transactional emails (password resets, subscription confirmations, account notifications).

MailerLite: Sends marketing emails (newsletters, new content announcements, exclusive updates). When you join The Wilde Kingdom, we may add your email to our MailerLite list. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time without it affecting your membership access.

Read MailerLite's privacy policy here: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy

USER-GENERATED CONTENT

What we collect: Comments, reactions, and any content you create within The Wilde Kingdom.

Why we collect it: To display your contributions, foster community, and let you interact with other members.

Who sees it: Other members can see your public comments and interactions. We can see everything for moderation purposes.

How to delete it: Email us at admin@wildeandfreellc.com and we'll remove your content.

ACCOUNT INFORMATION

When you create an account, you'll have a member profile with your name and email. This information is visible to other members when you comment or interact in the community.

🚫 MINORS, PLEASE EXIT THE CHAT

We don't knowingly collect data from minors—and if you're a parent who thinks your kid snuck through, email us and we'll wipe their info faster than a Cheshire Cat demon disappears into the ether.

Sharing Personal Information

We don't gatekeep your data—but we do share it only when it's necessary to run this spicy operation smoothly. Here's the deal:

• Ghost: We use Ghost to power this membership site and keep things running behind the curtain like a loyal, slightly overworked tech goblin. Read how Ghost uses your info here: https://ghost.org/privacy/

• Stripe: Processes all payments securely. They see your payment info, we don't. Read their privacy policy here: https://stripe.com/privacy

• MailerLite: Manages our marketing emails and newsletters. Read their privacy policy here: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy

• Legal Obligations: We might also share your info to stay on the right side of the law. If someone slaps us with a subpoena, search warrant, or some other official bullshit, we'll comply.

That's it. No drama. No sketchy data dealers. Just trusted tools to deliver your content and keep your membership experience optimized.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see what's working and what's getting ignored like an unredeemable villain. This helps us understand which content resonates and how to improve the site.

You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Ghost also tracks basic pageviews and engagement metrics to help us understand site performance.

Using Your Personal Information

We use your personal info to keep the content flowing and your membership experience smooth. This includes:

• Processing your membership subscription
• Delivering digital content and member benefits
• Sending you updates on new chapters, releases, and exclusive content
• Managing your account access and preferences
• Facilitating community interactions (comments, reactions)
• Providing customer support

No weird shit. No data cults. Just the basics of running an indie empire.

If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), here's the very official legal basis we use to process your info—because the EU loves its paperwork:

• You said "yes" (consent)
• You subscribed and we need to deliver content (contract)
• We have legal obligations (like not laundering money)
• Emergencies (think: protecting your vital interests)
• Legit business reasons that don't stomp on your rights (because we're not monsters. We just write about them.)

How Long Do We Keep Your Info?

Forever.

Just kidding. We'll only keep your personal data on file as long as we need it to:

• Manage your membership
• Stay legally compliant
• Or until you email us and say, "Wipe it, Wilde"

Just hit up that "Your Rights" section when you're ready to erase the evidence of your membership.

Automated Decision-Making (aka No, You're Not Being Judged by Robots)

If you're in the EEA, you have the right to say, "Hell no" to machines making important decisions about your life. But don't worry—we don't do that here. You're not being profiled by an evil AI overlord.

The only thing that might happen automatically? Ghost or Stripe might temporarily block sketchy IP addresses or payment methods that keep trying (and failing) to subscribe

It's fraud prevention, not a dystopian novel.

Selling Personal Information (Spoiler: We'd Sooner Eat Sand)

Let's get one thing straight: we don't sell your data. Ever.

Some data gets shared with trusted tools like Ghost, Stripe, MailerLite, or Google Analytics so we can figure out which content is melting brains and deliver the membership experience you signed up for. That's sharing for functionality—not selling for cash.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), "selling" can technically include that kind of data-sharing, but we're not handing off your email for a coupon code or selling your secrets to shady third parties. That’s gross.

We don't sell info from minors (also gross), and if you ever want to check who's watching your clicks, we've got you:

https://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN

You're in control. Always.

Your Rights

GDPR (aka The Fancy Euro Rules)

If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Peek at what data we've got on you
• Take that data elsewhere (data portability, baby)
• Fix it, update it, or delete it like a messy text thread

Want to exercise any of those rights? Email Wilde & Free LLC at admin@wildeandfreellc.com and we'll handle it with care—and possibly caffeine.

CCPA (aka California's Version of Boundaries)

If you live in California, you have the right to:

• Know what data we collect and how we use it
• Ask us to delete it, fix it, or send it to another provider
• Authorize someone else to request it on your behalf (hello, assistant/chaotic bestie)

To do any of the above, just contact Wilde & Free LLC at admin@wildeandfreellc.com. Easy.

Email Opt-Out

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by:

• Clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email
• Emailing us at admin@wildeandfreellc.com

Important: Unsubscribing from marketing emails does NOT cancel your free or paid membership. You'll still have full access to The Wilde Kingdom content—you just won't get notification/promotional emails. If you want to cancel your membership entirely, you'll need to do that separately through your account settings or by contacting us.

You'll still receive transactional emails from Ghost (like password resets and subscription confirmations) even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, because those are necessary to manage your account.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny data files dropped on your device when you visit the site. They help:

• Keep you logged into your member account
• Remember your preferences
• Track what's working on the site
• Power analytics

We use functional, performance, and analytics cookies—basically the essentials.

You can block cookies in your browser settings if you want to go full incognito, but parts of the site might stop working smoothly if you do (and that sucks). Specifically, you won't be able to stay logged in or access member-only content without cookies enabled.

Cookies We Use:

Necessary Cookies (Ghost): These keep your account working and let you access member content. Without them, the site won't function properly.

Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics): These help us understand which content you love and how to improve the site.

Want to manage your cookie drama? Most browsers let you block, allow, or delete cookies in your Settings, Tools, or Preferences menus. Need help figuring it out? Check out: www.allaboutcookies.org

Fair warning: blocking cookies doesn't always stop third-party analytics partners from getting your data via other means. To shut that down too, bounce over to the Google Analytics opt-out link above.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal like "pls don't spy on me," but the internet doesn't have its shit together enough to agree on what that means. So for now, we don't change anything based on that signal—but if the rules change, we'll keep up.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when laws shift, tech evolves, or we just get our act together and improve stuff. If anything major changes, we'll post it here. No sneaky edits. Just real talk.

Questions? Concerns?

If something feels off, email us at admin@wildeandfreellc.com. We'll listen. If our reply doesn't hit the mark, you've got the right to escalate to your local data protection authority. If you're in the U.S., that's the FTC:
